Absco Solutions is looking for an Electrical Trainee. The Electrical Trainee assists licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems while gaining hands-on experience through structured on-the-job training.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist electricians with residential, commercial, or industrial electrical installations.
  • Pull wire, install conduit, mount electrical boxes, and assist with panel installations.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and electrical codes.
  • Attend required classroom training and apprenticeship courses as applicable.
  • Complete assigned documentation accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Active Electrical Training Certificate (electrical trainee card)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and hand tools

Compensation

  • $20 to $35 per hour depending on experience
